To celebrate Scottish Apprentice Week 2022, Almond Valley MSP Angela Constance was delighted to to meet with apprentices working at Arnold Clark in Livingston.
Scottish Apprentice Week takes place each year across a week in March and aims to highlight the vital role apprenticeships play in supporting people, employers, and the economy.
With this years theme being ‘Apprenticeships work’, Ms Constance met with some of Arnold Clark’s apprentices to learn more about the benefits of work based learning and the importance of investing in the workforce both now and in the future.
Commenting on her visit Ms Constance said:
“I was pleased to visit the Arnold Clark garage in my constituency to learn more about the important work being carried out by their hard working apprentices, highlighting the benefits apprenticeship programs can bring to local communities.
The pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on young people, which is why the Scottish Government launched the Young Person’s Guarantee to connect 16-24 year olds with work, learning or training.”
