Angela Constance, MSP for Almond Valley was honoured to be invited to be Guest Speaker and make welcome and opening remarks at a Fibre Roadshow for the telecommunications industry hosted by PQMS Training, who are based at Nairn Road, Deans Industrial Estate, Livingston.
PQMS provide bespoke training and development programmes for telecommunications companies and opened their guest Office in Scotland last year after 21 years of expansion in England. They are a SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) accredited training provider with programmes covering health and safety, utilities and street work, as well as broader skills for the telecommunications industry.
The investment in the new training centre based in Livingston is an excellent example of investment that supports the roll out of fibre and therefore super connectivity.
Angela Constance MSP said
"It was a real pleasure to provide a warm West Lothian Welcome to the training provider PQMS who have chosen Livingston to open their first office in Scotland. Scotland depends on the IT and telecommunications industry and workforce as they underpin our economy, business, consumer services as well as many of our leisure pursuits. Telecommunications is very much an industry of the future with a current workforce of around 100,000 and I wish PQMS every success for the future."
Ends.
