Angela Constance MSP recently visited the royal mail delivery office in Livingston to meet the hard-working staff and was given an overview of new initiatives to customer services by manager Graeme Paterson.
The royal mail approach to net zero 2040 now includes the redelivery of parcels when people are not at home. New ways for parcel pick-up and label printing are making the service more accessible to the public.
Angela Constance MSP commented: “It was a pleasure to visit the royal mail post office in Livingston to meet staff who are hard working all year round delivering our post and parcels. I have visited the depot many times over the years, and it is always interesting to see the changes that have been made including how parcels are processed faster. It was great to catch up with Frank McAdam who has worked for Royal Mail for 47 years a well-known and highly regarded local postie.”
