Angela Constance MSP welcomes the announcement of funding for a new school in Craigshill in Livingston. The new Riverside and Letham Primary School is one of the school building projects taken forward as a result of the £2 billion announcement by the Scottish Government and COSLA. The Learning and Estate Investment Programme (LEIP) will enable the next phase of new modern state of the art schools. Phase 3 of LEIP will deliver 10 new or refurbished learning environments across Scotland worth £450-500 million, which includes three Additional Support Needs (ASN) schools and a total of six projects which include ASN capacity.
In welcoming this announcement Angela Constance MSP for Livingston, said
“A new school for Craigshill is great news as improving the school estate helps deliver equity and excellence in education. I am delighted that Riverside and Letham Primary School is one of the 10 projects to benefit from this £2 billion investment announced by the Scottish Government and COSLA. This new school will create the best environment for children to thrive and builds on the Scottish Government’s sustained investment in our schools and communities.”
