Angela Constance, MSP for Almond Valley, visited Dignity Boxes based in Livingston, a charitable organization dedicated to providing essential toiletries to those in need within the Lothian’s. During her visit, Angela Constance MSP witnessed first-hand the impactful work Dignity Boxes accomplishes in supporting individuals and families facing hygiene insecurities.
Dignity Boxes operates with a unique approach, offering toiletries discreetly to individuals who may never meet their benefactors in person, ensuring dignity and respect are maintained throughout the process. With a focus on providing much-needed essentials, Dignity Boxes serves as a lifeline for many individuals experiencing financial hardship or homelessness. Despite their ongoing efforts, Dignity Boxes currently faces a shortage of male toiletries such as razors, shaving cream, deodorant, and body wash.
Angela Constance commented:
“It was wonderful to meet Isobel Dosser who founded Dignity Boxes 6 years ago and some of the 32 hardworking volunteers, to learn about the good work that they do by providing dignity and hygiene to those facing adversity.”
