Scottish Government Delivering for Local Families
Angela Constance MSP has welcomed new figures confirming that £1.292 million has been invested in play parks across West Lothian ensuring local children have safe, modern, and engaging spaces to play.
This funding, part of the Scottish Governments £35 million national investment, has already transformed play areas in East Calder, and Knightsridge, and many more across the region. With an additional £15 million earmarked for 2024/25, children and families in West Lothian will continue to benefit from upgraded facilities.
Since May 2021, 887 play parks across Scotland have been renewed or are in the process of being renewed delivering on the SNPs commitment to enhance outdoor spaces for young people.
Commenting, SNP MSP Angela Constance said:
This is fantastic news for West Lothian families. The SNP Governments investment of £1.292 million is delivering real benefits to our local communities, ensuring children have safe and exciting places to play.
Play parks are vital for children's wellbeing and development, and this funding shows exactly what the SNP is delivering for families across Scotland.
That's the difference an SNP government makes real investment in our communities and real action to improve the lives of our young people.
